People often ask about the origin and meaning of six mile road.

I grew up on an acreage outside of Stony Plain, Alberta — just off Campsite Road and Township Road 540.  TWP540 is six miles from and runs parallel to the Parkland Highway (Hwy 16A).  It is known locally as the Six Mile Road.
